1998 Nissan Maxima Interior is dead

The car started and immediately stalled. I found a bad connection on the alternator that broke when I tried to clean it. After installing a new alternator, the power windows, pwr door locks, trunk release, AC, dash lights,
radio, & sunroof don't work. I don't know about the cruise. The odometer lights up, the gauges and the hazard lights work. The check engine light stays on. When the fan mode is changed you can hear the doors changing from defrost to vent, etc.

I don't see anything that's unplugged. There's obviously something all these have in common...

Wen you broke the wire it may have blown an ignition fuse, check all your fuses and links at the battery post and fuse boxes, inside and under the hood!
