1997 Nissan Maxima oil sending unit

The connector to my oil sending unit was soaked and the connection was very loose. Will this keep it from starting and since the inside of the connector was wet do I replace just the connector or the oil sending unit as well as the connector?

Replace the connector and no it will not prevent the engine from starting
