Hello, I have a 97 maxima I had the nissan dealer replace drive belts new egr valve clean blocked egr passages and replace a altenator(recall) I got the car back and now it shakes at idle. When the car is in park its ok only when the gear is in "D" I have new fuel filter, spark plugs are like 6 months old all new 02 sensors. Any suggestion? Thanks

Hi 97BLKMAXIMA,

If the idling speed is not too low, then you should check the engine mounts.

The engine doesn't shake constantly it will shake 2-4 times likely wants to shut off then stops then it does it again Also notice it shakes harder when the ac unit is on, its just fast shakes thanks

Hi 97BLKMAXIMA,

In this case, most probably the throttle, ISC and AC Idle up booster needs some cleaning and adjustment.

OK thanks, ill check that. Would this have been tampered with when the dealer change the a/c solinoid or taken apart the upper engine componants to clear out block egr passages. Thanks a lot
