I am replacing the struts on my car. What can I use to compress the springs? I don't have spring compressors.

CSK/O'Reilly and Autozone both have strut spring compressor that you can borrow to finish the job. You pay a deposit for the kit, and they will refund you the money when you return the unit. If you go to CSK/O'Reilly, ask for rental tool kit #1, pay $52.99 plus tax, and you have 2 days to do the job, and return it for refund.
