1996 Nissan Maxima replacimg oem with aftermarket headlight

Do i have remove my bumper in order to replace my headlamp with a after market assembly, I can't seem to find anyone that can tell me here locally. the Nisaan dealer just states he is not sure. He stated that the 2004 thru 2009 you have to drop the bumper.

Yes, the bumper has to be removed to enable the headlight assy to be removed.
