1996 Nissan Maxima ignition

1996 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Manual 161000 miles

Hi, I recently go this car at an auction. I have not had this problem until a couple of days ago. I put the key in the ignition. It goes in all the way perfectly, but won't turn at all. It's like it is stuck. I tried moving the steering wheel around, and wiggling the key, but nothing happens. Also, the little button I need to press to take out the key stays in. Do you know what my problem is?
