1995 Nissan Maxima squealing noise

My car squeals when I start it up and then quits. My air conditioner blows but its not cool anymore.

Check serpentine belt tension. Replace the belt if there are lengthwise cracks (cracks across the belt width are ok). Check the refrigerant charge. It should be at 14-18 oz. You can check this by noting proper pressure. Purchase a recharge bottle from Oreilly's with the guage attached and test at the low pressure port.
