1992 Nissan Maxima fuel sensor & exhaust

i have been told i have an exhaust leak at the manifold and it it tricking my fuel sensor and not letting out the correct amt of fuel causing my car to all of a sudden loose power and run very rough. does the whole engine have to be removed to fix this problem ?

the engine may have to be raised a little bit for clearence.
