1991 Nissan Maxima how do you release tension

1991 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl

my daughter got into a car crash with her 1991 nissan maxima, it has a 3000 v6 3 belt engine, The power steering belt broke, and i can not figure out how to release the tension to get the new belt on, can you tell me how to release the tension so i can get the new belt on?

Loosen idler pulley locknut, turn adjusting nut counterclockwise
