How much is involved in replacing the computer if it is "fried"? And how much would it cost to have it repaired?
thanks,
Tom

What makes you think its fried? Usually something causes it to burn. Can you elaborate on your symptoms and I can give you better advice and answers. Thanks tim

Hi Tim!
It simply quit running. This is my grandson's truck and he turned a corner and that was it. He opened the hood and noticed that the the battery cable had melted off the battery. As luck would have it there was a firestone repair shop at the turn so he pulled in. The attendant opened the hood and showed where the wire had melted and burned all the grounds that he could see.
Thanks,
Tom/Ginerale

Im worried about the skill level of the kid at firestone. Have they repaired the wires and determined what caused them to melt. I dont think your computer is bad yet. Mostly I see the computer fried is because people repeatedly install fuses that keep popping without finding actual problem. Get back to me

Hi Tim!
We got the vehicle back and the cost was $268. They had to replace all the wiring but everything else seemed okay.
It is running fine and hopefully there will be no more problems.
