2001 Nissan Frontier ball joints

2001 Nissan Frontier Two Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles

trying to replace the lower ball joint tried prying it off the manual says its not replaceable but i bought the part the ball joint has little play do i need to replace it

ball joints are not serviced separately so not sure why part store would have sold to you .you must replace the upper and lower control arm as assembly with ball joint..

the lower ball joint should not have any play at all, the upper ball joint can have .051" of play for the 2.4L models and .008" of play with the 3.3L models..
