My air condition hasn't been working lately but I realized that if I rev the engine in neutral then it starts to work just fine. Does it have to do with the belts? Also I hear my compressor constantly engaging and disengaging (probably every 45-60 seconds). I recently changed my alternator belt and was thinking maybe it had to do with that. How can I get my air condition back?

If the belt is tight, I'm going to say it is low on freon. That would explaine the cycling you hear and the cold air only on higher RPM's. Also, if the belt was slipping, it would squeal.

Let me know what you find.
