Replace Engine Mount

I want to replace the engine mounts on my car as this failed the Safety Inspection. Is this something that I can do on my own - I am being quoted $350 to replace the Front and Right mounts.

I've searched on the net and although I could find generic mount replacement guides, there are none very detailed and specific to Altimas. And the diagrams do not match that of the Altima.

Your assistance is extremely appreciated. Thanks!

Hello.

Well replacing the MM could be a DIY job but you have to have the correct tools and work safely because working under the car its always a risk !
You need to find the location of the mounts first then analize the situation. The tools you need the correct sockets and extension bars. A pair of good jack-stands a good wheel jack (to raise the car first and mount it in to the stands) and then to raise the engine to remove the mounts. And that`s it !

! Block the wheels of your car and find a flat surface to work in !

Precaution precaution and precaution !
