I have a 4cyl 97 Nissan Altima with 110k miles. Last week I lost all oil preasure. The car sounds like it has no oil and the oil light is on but there is plenty of oil in the engine. I want to replace the oil pump. Is the pump fairly easy to replace? Can the pump be replaced by just removing the oil pan or do I have to move other parts out the way?

The oil pump is behind the front timing cover and you will need to remove the oil pan as well, here are the instructions to do so in the images below. Also make sure you clean the oil pan from deburis. Use new gaskets when you reassemble. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
