2009 Nissan Altima Replace Bumper?

2009 Nissan Altima 500 miles

I have a minor blemish on my rear bumper, and when I went to get it looked at the mechanic said I needed a whole new bumper? Does that sound a bit excessive for a minor problem?

This all depends what kind of blemish you are speaking of. If the blemish is an indentation or scrape/cut into the plastic of the bumper, then yes you will need a new bumper. If this is a minor blemish that is paint related more than body related then you should be able to take it to a body shop to get touched up.
