Only while driving, the car makes this electronic almost zipping sound. I think that it may be the fuel pump but I'm not sure. Any idea?

HI there,

Can you hear this noise with the engine idling, if it is only when the car is in motion it won't be the fuel pump, answer that for me, and then we can think about what I could be.

As far as I've heard, only while the car is in motion.

Hi there,

Then we can rule out a fuel pump then, as this is running all the time. Do you hear it more while braking? If it is only when driving it must be in the transmission or drive line, I would see if there is nothing hanging up under the car or around a drive shaft first.

Thank you for your response. I just checked the transmission and there is nothing in the way, however it was acting alittle jumpy awhile back and I put tranny fluid stop leak, because it was leaking abit. It stopped being jumpy but that was when the noise started. Could it be from to much tranny fluid?

Hi there,

Normally to much transmission fluid won't make a noise like this, but the correct level should be maintained, I would be looking at wheel bearings, and having the transmission inspected just to make sure, the noise will be in the drive line.
