2002 Nissan Altima Burns oil

Engine Performance problem
2002 Nissan Altima 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I just bought this nissan it has 87,000 miles the engine is very clean no leaks. But I am finding out it goes through a quart of oil about every 300 miles. What could be wrong with it, and what can I do to slow it down, or stop it.

You are going to have to do your own homework.
But.
In the early 2000's the cat's had a problem of coming apart and destroying the engines in the 2.4 altimas.

Using oil was a bad sign.

Nissan replaced the engines for free as part of a recall.
