Car is burning oil

My 2002 nissan altima has 186000 miles, it runs smooth but in a 600 mile trip I went through 5 quarts of oil. There are no leaks under vehicle, no signs of oil anywhere under hood, tail pipe etc. What is wrong? No smoking of engine.

Its either leaking or its burning inside the engine-Check the engine compression and do a thorough inspection-at valve cover, timing cover/front and rear seals-oil pan and drain plug
