2.5 engine timing chain marks

Head gasket replaced, lost timing in sprockets, after many tries, have TDC right
chain yellow marks aligned each camshaft okay, according to diagram. See no marks in cover except drill mark on cover exhaust cam, near 10 mm bolt.
Intake cam mark at 9 o'clock .
Have compression 130 approximately.
Turned engine on, no luck removed and grounded spark plug no fire!
Plugged scanner and shows cam sensor failure and air fuel metering problem.

Please post codes in Poxxx format. Also, have checked for injector pulse?

Shows code P1111 and P0340. Car was running fine just for burn exhaust valve (replaced).
My question still is, proper way to align cams? had TDC and the two yellow marks in chain to mating marks in sprockets but after turns by hand, will not match again.
Is firing mark number one in slot of intake cam is to be exactly aligned with sensor.
Please be as detailed as you can.
I am very frustrated and my son wants car out!

Timing chain marks 26 links between gold/yellow mark on chain and 64 links between camshaft sprocket and gold/yellow link and crankshaft sprocket orange/blue link on the timing chain side without the tension-er. See diagrams.
Were codes present before head removal? And injector pulse?

Engine is 2.5L.

As I explained earlier, there were no codes engine was running but missing on cylinder three, valves were changed.
Now code again 1111 and 0340.
I seen diagrams before and installed chain according to diagrams.
Number one cylinder TDC yellow marks on top and sprocket marks on each yellow mark.
Any other suggestions?
Is it possible, no fire because camshaft not in position with spark sensor?

P0340 fault in camshaft position sensor either open or shorted or out of phase located on rear head is it plugged in wiring intact?
P1111 fault Intake valve timing control either defective or open or shorted IVTC has to be removed during repair must not be disassembled. Is solenoid connected wiring intact?

Got car started after turning engine by hand several times
and matching yellow mark in chain and sprockets, this is what I did;
number one cylinder TDC aligned with mark bottom cover and two yellow marks on top of chain.
Then turned ex cam and intake cam to go in slots no luck.
So I moved two teeth on each cam and started but missing badly, if I repeat that what should be position of EX and INT lobes?
Is it possible that chain slipped at crank couple of teeth? If so is there any other way to set timing?
I am lost and see no way out.

May need to start from step one make sure number one cylinder is at TDC compression stroke. Take out plug have helper turn engine by hand finger in plug hole when feel compression set on mark. TDC can align on crank to mark for TDC of number one and BTC number one may be timing on opposing cylinder.

I took the timing chain off my wife's car because I had to replace a head gasket. Now I am trying to get the timing chain back together. I have it on the cam shafts and I am have it lined up on the starting marks in all three places. My question is, is that just a starting point or will the marks line up again after x amount of motor revolutions?

You are correct. The marks will realign themselves after a certain number of revolutions.

When should the timing belt be replaced?

Engine has chain no need to replace.

I do not know if my 2002 2.5S Altima has a timing belt or chain? And when it should be inspected or replaced?

2.5L has timing chain with no regular maintenance interval. Chains only need replaced if they are producing a problem i.e. rattling, link broken etc.

What are the timing marks suppose to be for my car?

If its the 2.4L it should have a timing chain, not a belt.
