2000 Nissan Altima water in a passanger compartment

I have a lot of water in passanger compartmen, on a floor in front of passenger seat. My friend told me the air filter for air cond. is cloged, could i clean it myself?

first make sure it is water and not coolant. if it is water than yes most likely it is a clogged A/C drain hose that will need to be flushed out. if it's coolant than it may be a bad heater core or heater hose running to heater core that has failed.
