1998 Nissan Altima Side view mirror replacement

My passenger side view mirror was ripped most of the way off. wires still good but plastic around wires that hold mirror on to car is broken. Is there a way to just replace the plastic on the inside of the casing instead of replacing the entire mirror? Mirror and plastic casing are fine. Just the inside needs replaced. HELP!!!

would be just as easy and same cost to just purchase mirror assembly from local salvage yard and replace it.
