Heater problem
1998 Nissan Altima 4 cyl Automatic 102,00 miles

My car was flooded 12/12/2009 in the rains here in New Orleans. It was repaired (insurance did not total it) When I turn on the heater I notice a moldy smell...when I select the foot warmer mode...is there a filter or something that should have been changed to eliminale this ??.....seats were pulled, carpet was shampooed,,,,padding replaced...all fluids changed ...trunk cleaned...(after the rain when I got in the car, the seats were wet._

Hi there,

this is mold and mildew in the heater ducts, you can purchase a dedicated anti fungal spray to deal with this, also have the A/C drain tube check to see if it is blocked.
