I have a '94 Nissan Altima, I bought it at the auction and am now stuck with it. I took it to the dealer to assess everything wrong with it & they said that the distributor is leaking oil, and that the power steering hose needed replaced (as well as a power steering flush). Could either of these cause the check engine light to periodically come on? I have also been experiancing some rough idling, and difficulty putting the car into drive occasionally. What should I be worried about?

Thanks!

The distributor could cause the check engine light to come and and rough running. Not going into gear can be caused by a bad brake light switch if the shifter doesnt move. If the shifter goes into drive but car still wont move then there is a problem with the transmisssion.
