car engine idles rough?

my car idles rough but not all the time,seems like mostly when my gas is low, but not sure. sometimes it will run for a week perfect then somtimes it misses out for 2 days straight, it dosnt die but it idles will rough but drives decent on highway.

Check the auxiliary air control valve this is the one that controls the idle speed.

I would replace the fuel filter, this can become clogged and cause this issue. Also, I would change out the spark plugs and plug wires and service the throttle body, this guide should help fix it.

For a 1993 Nissan Altima, the recommended spark plugs are NGK V-Power (BKR5E-11) or Denso (K16PR-U11)
