The car is a 1991 nissan 300zx with a 3.0 24valve non-turbo engine. it is an automatic transmission and is rear wheel drive. i need to know the steps in disconnecting the drive shaft from the transmission? me and my friend are taking out the trans and having it rebuilt, then we need to reinstall it. the bolts connecting the trans to the engine are already out. now we need to take off the exhaust pipes then disconnect the trans from the drive shaft. how do we do this?[img:971fddcff3]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/117220_SD531118_1.jpg[/img:971fddcff3]

Most of the time you would work from the back to the front, you piut the cart before the horse...unbolt the shaft at the differential, then slide the shaft out of the tranny...
