I bought another trans the old trans revolution sensor has three wires and the new only has two wires I want to no will that make a diffrence

The revolution sensor only needs 2 wires, a black wire for ground and a red wire which goes to tranny control unit

So it be ok if I use either sensor and it should make a diffrence and once again I want to thank u very much for the help with my question
