So, I've got a 96' Nissan 200SX which I am told is the same as a 240SX in the U.S. It currently has 130k miles on it and I haven't really had any problems with it up until now. The problem I'm having is that when I start the car up it starts fine. It's just that after a short, seemingly random period of time the car will die. Not stalling, just dies. All I have to do for it to start again is put it in neutral and turn the key again. It just kind of sucks losing my power steering and all while I'm driving. Also, when the car is running again I sometimes get an ABS light that doesn't go out until I make a full stop and the car will lurch forward about a foot or two through the brakes. After that I have no problem at all. It also only does this once per drive. I suspect that it may have something to do with the HKS turbo timer installed as sometimes it will go off right before the car does. Also, the turbo timer doesn't always come on or doesn't always work. IE, when I put the E-brake (it's an automatic) on and turn the car off the turbo timer should kick in, but doesn't always. I took it to a british electric shop but I suspect they don't know much about what they are doing because they said they found a broken wire touching the engine block and they repaired it, but it still didn't fix it. Any ideas?
-Thanks, Justin
