Hi, I have the 1.6 hdi the engine has been fully reconditioned after blown turbo. The new oil pump is not pumping oil, it is still dry the new turbo is pumping oil to the head so there is no blocked passages from filter house up. Please help, the oil pump is not an aftermarket one it is from the main dealers and I was told to plug and play no need to prime. Thank you.

Hello,

Try removing the oil filter and pumping oil down through the main port, this will get the pump "wet" and begin the pumping action.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.

Best, Ken

In the head gasket there is a passage that is meant to feed the turbo and lifters, if the wrong head gasket was used the oil to the top part of the engine will be a problem.

It is hard to say there might be two oil passages. But if no oil is getting to the turbo and lifters it would be the first place I would look.
