Slow stop or sitting at a light they slowly hit the floor

I took it in the shop because the brakes were acting strange. They work fine when braking hard, but when coming to a slow stop or sitting at a light they slowly hit the floor. Release the brake for a second and pressure comes back instantly. So I thought it was the master cylinder and I would like to replace it
