I changed the engine and once it put into the car it started and stop. When I checked the where no injection pluse and no spark then I scan the car and it gave error code p0335 which is crankshaft sensor. I changed the sensor with about four others sensors and even one brought out of a working vehicle still the same. I reset the ECU from the dashboard and then got spark but it still won't start and still giving error code p0335. I have checked for shot to ground and got nothing.
Cat listed above is a 330i e90.

Good morning,

Yes, it is for the sensor system. According to the possibilities, it is an electrical issue in the harness between the 3 wires for the sensor.

I attached a diagram for you to view. I would go over your work and make sure there is no harness pinched anywhere causing this issue.

I checked the signal wire for short to positive or ground and it was not.
Can bad plugs trigger that error code.
Can the can the crankshaft signal plate also trigger the code.

Am seriously confuse on where the problem and solution lies.

The engine crank and I have used a multi-meter to check voltage at the socket and with key on there is 12v pin1 orange wire, 5v pin 3 yellow wire and pin 2 is through to ground.
I have inspected the wires to the sensor and no cut where found.
At first when the engine was inserted it crank and started for some seconds then cut off. When I tried it again I noticed there was no spark to coil and no pulse to injector. I found a fuse was bad and replaced it and got.

Okay, I would remove the sensor and look at the ring inside.

Did you install the flywheel correctly as it is timed and must be in the correct position?

Did you use your old flywheel or the one that came with the engine?

I used the old flywheel and also was very careful to make I put it the way it was on the old engine.

How can I test the angle connector sensor below?

You would need a scope to watch the pattern of the signal when it runs across the tone ring.

And still saying crankshaft sensor.

No, not at all.

I would inspect the tone ring while it is cranking. See if it is damaged.

More than likely the issue is with that tone ring! Inspect while someone else cranks the engine. I've attached an image of what the pattern should look like.

I don't have an oscilloscope, so how can I inspect the tone ring manual?
How can I fix it if the tone ring is bad?
What are the processes?

Look through the hole for the crank sensor. See if it is moving and if the noise is coming from there.

Have someone crank the engine while you look and feel.

Okay, looks like you going to need to pull back the transmission and determine the reason for the noise. Whatever it is, it most likely ties in with the no start with the crank sensor.

You need to find the issue first. Once you find the issue, post some pictures for me to see then we can discuss what needs to be done.

Did you pull the transmission? The last we discussed the noise coming from the bell housing by the crank sensor.

What have you done from there?
