New battery and new alternator voltage?

Installed both new. When I crank up my truck the gage reads 14 then after a few minutes it drops down a little. I tested the voltage when it was at 14 and the tester showed 14 but after it dropped, I tested it and it red 12.5. Then I turned on the headlights and the heater and fan wide open and then tested it and it read like 13.6.

Yep, this is normal, this truck has an adaptive charging system which only charges the battery until it is full and then it throttles back the field to help save fuel. If there are no warning lights on you are okay. Use 2CarPros anytime, we are here to help. Please tell a friend.
