New axle/CV popping out

New axle was fine for one month then it popped out. Resented at shop, but popped after fifteen miles. Reseated again and popped after fifteen miles. Is it maybe the retaining ring?

There is a C clip that locates the shaft in the trans-axle, if this is missing or damaged the shaft will not lock in. Get this inspected. The mechanic should be well aware of this, if not go somewhere else for the repair.

That is good, you should not have a problem if you put a little grease on the clip and shaft and offer it up square and knock it home.
