A/C compressor run tight. shop quoted $1.500.00 repair. can this be bypassed without a bypass pulley by using a shorter belt? Not putting $1.500.00 in this car. need a belt number or belt length if possible to bypass. Thanks

You can rule out a shorter belt because the routing would cause the belt to contact things. They do may eliminator pulleys for some cars but not all so you will have to contact the parts store to check on availability for your car. I am guessing putting a compressor on it may be your only option.
