A few months ago, a local mechanic replaced wires for my manual (parking, emergency) brake. After that, hot air started to blow inside the car between the seats (from under the handle of this brake). Yesterday another mechanic looked under the car and told me that some cover under the brake is not mounted. So please someone is able to give me some number of this cover, or even only a picture, because I don't know how to search. Thanks

Hi,

I believe you are referring to the heat shield. It is mounted between the exhaust and floor of the vehicle.

Is there any chance you could take a pic of where it's missing? There are a few different ones.

I attached a pic of the one I think is missing. It is an upper shield between the exhaust and the floor as I mentioned. But please understand, without seeing what is missing, this is only a theory. I found this on eBay.

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

The angle is perfect. If you look below, I copied one of your pics and circled where the heat is going. The heat shield should be between the muffler and the underside of the vehicle. I believe the pic I sent is the one you need. I would contact the seller and confirm to be sure, but that's what is missing.

Let me know if I can help.

Take care,

Joe
