My truck lost power and stalled out when I was going forty mph, after that it would only go five mph. We changed the crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, all eight coil packs, spark plugs, throttle position sensor, throttle body actuator module and fuel pump. The truck will not crank. Please if there is anything I may have missed let me know. It will turn over but just will not crank. Also, I am waiting on a mass air flow sensor to come in today. Thank you for any help available.

Good afternoon.

Does the starter crank the engine? It is confusing on your post.

Have you checked fuel pressure?

Is the check engine light on?

It starts to crank but will not completely engage. No I have not checked fuel pressure and no the check engine light went off after all parts were replaced. I am about to go get a new battery because I just had my son jump me off and the truck tried to crank but then it started making a clicking sound.

Sounds like a plan. A bad battery will not take a jump. Install the battery and try starting. Let us know the results.

Well I can get it to start now but the rpm's will not get up past 1000 and that is with the gas pedal pressed all the way to the floor. We are going to change the MAF sensor tomorrow. Is there anything else it could be? I was doing some research and found something about an 0-2 sensor being bad could cause it to have no power.

Okay. Are there any codes in the system? Possible that the fly by wire system for the throttle may be the issue.

No to the O2 sensor and mass air flow.

Okay, it has codes P0122 and P0223 throttle pedal position sensor. And with it showing these codes it also made it have a P2110 throttle acuater control system forced limited rpm. This is exactly the problem I have been having when it cranks, it will not go over 1000 rpm's without shutting off. I did some research and it says my engine is in a safety limp mode. I have ordered the accelerator pedal position sensor along with a new pedal. I should receive it Wednesday so I pray that fixes the problem.

Before replacing it, verify power to the sensor. It should have five volts reference.

Also, check the connector on the throttle body as well. That will also cause this issue.

Yes, the codes are related to the fly by wire. You need to be sure you have signals to the sensors. Codes never identify bad parts, just failed systems.

Okay thank you Roy. I will check that before replacing the part. This was very helpful. If it does not have signal what needs to be done?

You are welcome.

You will need to check the wiring harness for any damage such as dirty or damaged pins and the harness itself for any breaks.

I just wanted to let you know that it ended up being a clogged catalytic converter. The truck is running fine now with full power. We pulled out the o2 sensor and it was able to crank and had full power so that's when we figured out what it was.

Good find. The truck had to be running poorly prior to this failure. Is that correct?
