Right under the battery case there is some kind of metal box with a valve on top. Need to know what it is so I can replace the missing hose. Might be the reason my car won't stay started.

Hi,

It is very hard for me to orient myself. By chance, is there a part number on the component? Also, if you have checked for diagnostic trouble codes, let me know what they are.

Keep in mind, if there is a hose disconnected, you should be able to find it either by sound (a hissing) or using something like carb cleaner. Here is a link explaining how it's done:

Let me know if you can find a part number or if you have codes.

Take care,

Joe
