Hello,

The scissor mechanism for my convertible hood was getting caught on some lining when lowering and it caused the frame to bend and for a screw to break. I'm trying to find the part number for this screw to order it online.

Here is a link to the service manual for the car: https://www.allcarmanuals.com/factory-service-manual-295-Ford-Mustang-Fifth-Generation.html

I'm looking for the screw that connects parts 26 or 27 (LH/RH side rails) to part 30 (bow), as shown on page 4503.

Hi,

I was unable to download the manual. However, I did attach what I have below. The first pic shows the bolts related to the top. Pic two identifies the bolt and the part number.

Take a look through this and let me know if you see what is needed.

Take care,

Joe

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, it is none of these bolts.
I had trouble downloading the manual at first but if you go to the link, hit "Click Here to View Download Link, " and then right click/two-finger click on the link and "Save Target/Link As", it should download to your computer!

I have attached a screenshot from the manual of the part I am looking for. It's the bolts that connect to 30 from 26/27.

Here is a second shot showing the parts list. You'll notice that one potential candidate for the bolt is #35, but unfortunately there's no part number.

Hi,

I went through everything I could find. There is nothing listed for the bow pivot bolt part number. By chance, do you have a pic of what came off the top?

Let me know.

Joe
