I was driving my car and accidentally ran on to a medium going maybe twenty five mph, but was able to turn off of it really quickly. I decided to start heading home and my car started rattling and humming. After about ten minutes my car, brake and gas pedal locked up and also my steering wheel. I was at an intersection so I put my car in park and tried turning off the car. The car then stopped immediately, made another rattling noise and basically shutdown. I can turn my car back on now. Any idea what was damaged?

Have you looked underneath the car yet? It sounds like you knocked a hole in your oil pan and lost all your oil in your engine.

I did not seem to be leaking any fluids when we moved the car, but the car will not turn back on. I can even turn the key all the way. Any other ideas?

Have you checked your oil level to see if it reads on the dipstick? Also, will the engine crank and no start or no crank no start? Are all the dash lights brightly lit? Or does it act like the battery is drained? Have you checked the coolant level made sure the drive belt is still on the engine?

No crank no start at all. All my lights and battery related things (windows, etc) work still. And I have not checked my drive belt yet.

That is the exact noise yes. Thanks so much! If either of the three are damaged about how much would each cost?

If it is what I think it is, you need a engine. It sounds like it has seized up. Let me know what you find and we will go from there.

You can put a breaker bar on the front of the engine to see if it turns over. The electrical seem weird though. Do the headlights come on?
