My temperature gauge not working

My temperature gauge is not working. What can it be? Anyone?

Bad gauge, broken wire, corroded connector terminal, and least likely, a defective sending unit.

Unplug the wire from the sending unit, then ground that wire with a jumper wire. If the gauge reads full-hot, suspect the sending unit or its terminal is rusty.
