My stock navigation screen and radio only come on once every six months or so

My stock radio navigation screen only come on once every six months or so.when screen appears I’m able to program one station before screen goes out again.stays that way until battery gets disconnected for a repair or replacement.when it is out it’s only static. I can power on and off volume button but won’t change station and screen won’t come on.any insight is greatly appreciated.
