it keeps coming on every time it rains and for the first time today it lost power and cut off on me in the highway.

You are going to have to have your car scanned with a professional scan tool that reads all the computers codes in your car.Then write them down the exact code numbers not code descriptions and let me know what they are. a diyer scan tool will not do that. you might even need a professional scan tool to help diagnosis the problem as well. That is your starting point.
