My car has been getting hard to start because the tubker key assembly works only at times after many attempts to start my car. Is it the tumbler or linkage causing my issue with getting my car to start?

Hi,

It could be the tumbler or a switch issue. Do me a favor. Try lubricating the tumbler. Over time, they can get dirt in them leading to issues. Also, the steering lock can be positioned in a manner preventing the key from turning.

Take a look through this link. It explains different things to try, one of which is lubricating it. Also, make sure the key you are using is not worn and causing the problem.

Let me know if that helps. If it doesn't we may need to replace the lock assembly. I attached the directions below in the event you want to do it.

Take care and let me know what you find.

Joe
