My car will crank but not start in rainy days. In winter will not start if it sits for more than one day when it is snowy. New battery was put in this month. Runs fine in dry weather. Sometimes it kinda smells like a burning smell? My mechanic has no idea?

Check coil bank to see if it is getting wet. If water or excessive water it will short out the coil. Next time it happens take paper towels and dry all the water off, see if that helps.
