Will not start and there are no codes

When you say "it sounds like it wants to" do you mean it fires but not on all cylinders, kind of like it is out of gas? Or do you turn the key and the engine does not move?

If it is the first one, spray a bit of starting fluid into the intake and see if it tries to run on that. If it does you likely have a bad fuel pump or bad pump driver module. 120,000 to 160,000 miles is about when they seem to fail the most.

If the second one it could be a bad cable or ground, or even a bad starter relay.

That sounds a lot like a lack of fuel. Go get a can of starting fluid. Spray a bit into the intake and see if it tries to run on it. If it does you need to test the fuel pressure to see if you have enough to let it run.

You can usually get a pressure gauge as a loaner tool at many parts stores. You want to see between 60 - 65 PSI with the key on. Less than 60 psi will cause issues. Connect the gauge and cycle the key on/off to let the pump prime, if the pressure stays low you have a failing pump.
