My car was towed without the key and my car was in park and 2 high

Now the car when I got it out of tow front trim to my bumper was ripped and all scratched up my car still rows when it's put in park. Why? Thanks

It sounds like they broke the parking pawl inside the transmission. Does the car drive okay other than that? if so here is how to fix the parking pawl in the diagrams below. you will need to remove the transmission pan. This guide can help:

Thank you for helping me. No car is not fine. I was driving down the street and the back rear just locked up and now the car won't go forward or backwards. However the car seems like it wants to go forward or backwards but it won't go into gear.

This sounds like the differential could be the problem. To be sure let's remove the rear differential cover and look for damage. this video should help you:

Look for metal inside the gear oil and the bottom of the housing.
