Why does my car smell like rotten eggs?

The inside of my car smelled like rotten eggs one day when i went out to it. I have cleaned it out thinking maybe it was something in there the smells still is there after couple of days. I have smelled the muffler when the car was on and it smells like normal exhaust fumes so i would not think it's the catalytic convertor. I was not sure if there was an answer that could be causing this foul smell. [The car is a 2011 not 2012]

The number one reason for this is the catalytic converter. So I would suggest testing the converter as smelling the exhaust won't be sufficient. Here is a guide that will help with this:

The other reasons are fuel issues or old transmission fluid. I would suggest checking the fuel pressure next and then check the fluid to make sure it is not old.
