my car eont shift when driving

When I'm driving my car, the transmission will not shift to the next gear, my rpm's go up , my speedometer works fine, I did recently drive it uphill without downshifting oops

Sounds like its slipping-check the fluid level if okay. Have the tranny check by a transmission specialist
