Need instructions on how to replace Multifunction switch for the vehicle listed above. Have seen YouTube videos for 2018, but none for 2019. Apparently, the switch assembly for 2019 is one piece now with a clamp for the steering shaft?
Need detailed instructions with drawings please.
Thank you very much.

Hi,

I just responded to your question related to the spring clock. The SCCM for this vehicle includes the right (wiper) multifunction switch, the left (lighting) multifunction switch, and the clock spring. The two multifunction switches and the clock spring are inseparable from the SCCM and are serviced only as a unit.

Let me know if the directions on the previous directions help with this as well.

Take care,

Joe

Hi Joe, thanks for your reply. I searched eBay and found this switch assembly. It appears to be just the two switches without the clock spring which leads me to believe that clock spring can be separated from the switches. In one of the photos, it shows a silver clamp on the rear which I assume clamps to steering shaft but don't see any reference to it in removal instructions. The instructions also say the need for re-calibration, however, do you think it is necessary if I am not replacing the clock spring itself?
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi,

Before you purchase that, make sure the part number on yours is the same.

As far as programming, a diagnostic scan tool must be used to determine if the alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.

What does that mean? Basically, this copies the current vehicle's configuration from the BCM to all other modules in the car.

I can't say for sure if the one on eBay will work. I just know that the manual says it is not serviceable and is replaced as a unit.

Let me know.

Joe
