Motor swap

I have the car listed above with a blown motor but my friend has a Chevrolet Malibu 2004 and he told me they are the same motor. is this correct? I will not have to make any modifications right?

Hello,

They are both 3.5L engines. I have included in the diagrams down below the different ways to identify engines for you for reference. The main differences here are going to be things like the location of heater hoses inlet/outlets, transmission bolting up (Malibu front wheel drive/transverse mount-Vue 4WD non transverse mount), motor mounts, etc. Please keep us informed as to how everything turns out.
