Good morning,
You may have a failed timing chain. that controls the valve timing related to piston position. when it slips, that timing changes and the result is not compression.

Do you have no compression in all cylinders or just 1 or 2?

Procedure
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Engine front cover, refer to Timing Cover / Service and Repair.
2. Oil slinger from crankshaft.
3. Rotate the engine until the timing mark are aligned.
4. Thrust button and screw securing camshaft sprocket to camshaft. Discard thrust button.
5. Camshaft and crankshaft sprockets with chain attached.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Rotate crankshaft, if required, until timing marks are aligned with crank sprocket mark positioned straight up (cylinder # 1 T.D.C., firing position).
2. Timing chain over camshaft sprocket.
3. Cam sprocket, crank sprocket and timing chain over crankshaft so that the timing marks are aligned.
4. Move the camshaft until the dowel pin mates with the index hole in the sprocket position as established in step 3.
5. Hold camshaft sprocket in position against end of camshaft and press sprocket on camshaft by hand, being sure index pin in camshaft is lined up with index hole in sprocket.
6. Screw securing camshaft sprocket to camshaft and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lbs ft). It may be necessary to keep the engine from rotating during the torquing procedure.
7. New thrust button
8. Oil slinger on crankshaft with smaller end of slinger against crankshaft sprocket.
9. Engine front cover.
Timing cover
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Engine coolant.
3. R/H cross car brace and coolant reservoir.
4. A.I.R. air filter and bracket.
5. Serpentine belt.
6. Water pump pulley.
7. Water pump.
8. Raise vehicle on hoist.
9. Crankshaft damper.
10. Front cover (nine bolts).
CLEAN
Gasket material and sealant from front cover, water pump sealing surfaces and oil pan.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New front cover and inlet gaskets.
IMPORTANT
Put a bead of RTV on the front cover lip on the oil pan sealing surface. This bead must be placed along the front cover lip behind the two oil pan-to-front cover bolts. This will prevent oil leakage through the bolt threads.
Put a 1/4" bead of RTV on the oil pan where the oil pan, block and front cover join together. The 1/4" bead is required because the front cover has a rounded corner instead of square. If the extra RTV is not applied an oil leak may occur.
Any excess RTV, squeezed out of the sealing area, should be removed.
2. Front cover.
3. Crankshaft damper.
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Water pump.
6. Water pump pulley.
7. Serpentine belt.
8. A.I.R. air filter and bracket.
9. Coolant reservoir and R/H cross car brace.
10. Negative battery cable.
11. Engine coolant.
12. Start engine and check for leaks at front cover, water pump and water inlet.
